Details:This is a hefty piece of madake crafted into an older Tozan style shakuhachi.

It's tuning is even well into the 3rd octave and plays with ease.

Tone is woody and slightly dark lending itself to kinko style honkyoku.

There is a shallow crack as seen in the picture above that doesn't compromise the bore, but should be dealt with.

Also, there is a small chip in the utaguchi inlay.

This would make an excellent learner's instrument.
