Details: This 1.8 plays on the bright side with very even intonation, excellent tuning and dynamic capability through 2 1/2 octaves

and probably beyond. Made in the modern kinko style with an ivory utaguchi inlay and tortoise shell nakatsugi rings.

The nakatsugi rings are a little funky with slightly uneven lines and probably an afterthough, but not necessarily a detraction.

There is a very small crack on the upper half running from the nakatsugi that doesn't interfere with sound production, but should be dealt with.

All in all, a well made shakuhachi that will serve any level player nicely.
